Subscribe and Save: How it works and current deal (10/4/16)

Subscribe and Save is the next best thing since sliced bread. Get all of your household essentials and even some snacks delivered right to your door while you are still in your pjs at 2pm. Don't judge.

First, you need Amazon prime. If you don't have it already sign up here for a free trial.

One complaint comes from my husband based on breaking down the boxes for recycling but other than that you can't go wrong. Also, by me not going into Target I automatically save $150 each time I need to just buy some toilet paper. That's just basic math.

How does it work? Look for subscribe and save eligible items on Amazon. You get 5% off each item that you add to your monthly subscription. Once you get to 5+ items you get 15% off. That's our goal, at least 5 items every month. Now we don't just want any 5 items (unless you really need that toilet paper); we want the best deals. The best way to get a deal is to stack coupon offers with subscribe and save eligible items.
On Amazon's home page, there's a bar at the top that will say "Today's Deals," click there and then click on coupons. This will show you all items with coupons available. 

If you are part of amazon family you get 20% off items like diapers, regardless of how many items you have in your subscribe and save for that month.

Right now Keebler snacks are offering a 25% off coupon. Combine that with 15% off and you have yourself some great deals. Click here for all eligible items.

For example, this pack of 6 Keebler crackers was $13.08. With 25% off your price comes to $9.81. Not bad, but let's keep going! Take an additional 15% off with your subscribe and save and now the price is only $7.85. That's $1.31 a pack! Can't beat that price!

I'm obsessed with the peanut butter chocolate chip bars. They are regularly $17.33 for a pack of 16. With the coupon and subscribe and save they come to $12.31! Now you might be worried that for every month for the rest of your life you will be receiving these crackers and your kids will revolt from now boring crackers in their lunches every day. Have no fear! It's really easy to cancel and change your subscriptions each month. You can change the frequency of an item, skip a shipment, or cancel it completely. I normally have different items each month to ensure I get the best deal. Just go to your account and then your subscribe and save items to make changes. Amazon will also email you before the items are sent to remind you.
