Prime "day" (it's a 36 hour event) is predicted to start Monday, July 15th and continue through July 16th for 2019, although the official date is yet to be announced. So what is the big deal with this sale anyway? Amazon started holding a mid-summer sale back in 2015 and now it's turned into a summer black Friday event. After the first years, other retailers caught on and now offer their own deals and price matching, so there are tons of shopping deals across retailer if you aren't an Amazon shopper.
