Amazon Prime Day July 2019

Are you ready for a shopping day as big as Black Friday? Last year over 100 million items were purchased! Prime "day" (it's a 36 hour event) is predicted to start Monday, July 15th and continue through July 16th for 2019, although the official date is yet to be announced.


So what is the big deal with this sale anyway? Amazon started holding a mid-summer sale back in 2015 and now it's turned into a summer black Friday event. After the first years, other retailers caught on and now offer their own deals and price matching, so there are tons of shopping deals across retailer if you aren't an Amazon shopper.


For those who are not yet Amazon prime members, you can get Prime day deals by signing up for a free 30 day trial. I cannot live without my Amazon Prime membership. Last year, a popular item was the Instant Pot, which I snagged myself and I'm totally obsessed with it! It was a great buy and something usefull that didn't just get stashed away in a cabinet along with other appliances (RIP waffle iron). But really, items in every category you can imagine are offered with deep discounts and lightening deals are released throughout the event. Lightening Deals sell out fast! Hot categories are always electronics, and you can expect to see big discounts on Amazon products, like Kindles, Echo, Fire tv, and other smart home devices. Baby items and consoles/video games are also big draws to the event.

#NSALE kids picks 2022

  The Nordstrom anniversary sale went live today for card holders to access the sale before the general public. The sale opens to the public on July 15th, but you can still preview the sale online and add items to your wish list!  It’s a rainy day here in Delaware, so my daughter and I decided to check out the sale in store and here are some of the kids items we snagged during the early access sale:  Boys : The North face Peril Glacier is an item I buy about every other year during the sale, and we’ve just been sizing up!
