Summer Fun Guide!

Finally, we are experiencing some warmer weather in Delaware! At the first sign of sun each year, my kids beg me to get all the outside toys out of the basement. We love spending time outside in the warm weather. Last year we had our deck finally outfitted with some furniture and it quickly became the hang out space!

The kids really enjoy all things water, playing with water toys and swimming. 

I really like the toys pictured here because multiple kids can play with them together! No fighting it a key component of summer fun (well, for this mom at least). The Step 2 WaterFall Discovery Wall Playset is a lot of fun! Each kid can use a side, and there are attachments that plug into holes in the wall to create different waterfalls. The kids pour the water in the top and then see how it falls. The water collects in the bottom and is ready to be poured again. It comes with 13 pieces to keep kids busy! The water tables we have are the Step 2 Big Splash Waterpark Table and the  Little Tikes Anchors Away The splash water park table is smaller and a better fit at the grandparents house. All 3 kids play with it though (ages 1-4). I recommend it for smaller spaces and smaller kids. The anchor table is big enough for a kid to sit in. My son climbs right in like it's his own little pool. It also has a squirt gun and a pump so that water can flow to the top and overfill and splash down into the boat. Both come with accessories. 

When the kids do need to move around, we have some favorite transportation picks. The Step 2 Wagon for Two  is easy to pull and fits two kids easily with some room in the middle for all the blankets they need on their walk even in the summer heat. Perfect for when we visit grandparents in the city and decide on a walk to the park. My son at 1 could easily get around on his classic Radio Flyer Trike when he has to make the round during block parties. I think this bike is best for 1-2 year olds.

There are times my kids need to run around and get a lot of energy out. They keep busy cutting the grass with their toy lawn mower or get out energy on their Little Tikes  Rock Climber and Slides.   

When we are ready to beat the heat, don't jump into the pool without a puddle jumper! These are the best for kids who are learning how to swim and are not content with being held in the pool. All family members love to swim in this house, even the dog! He's like a little lifeguard that needs to keep an eye on the kids.
